When is rent due?
Rent is always due on the first of each month, unless your lease states otherwise.
How do I pay rent?
All rent should be paid through Buildium. Be sure to activate your online portal. You should have received an email to set up. Please remember to check your spam folders for this email as well. Once you log in, click “make a payment” on the left hand side.
What is my balance?
The balance shown in the portal is the house balance agreed upon in your lease. Your specific portion should be worked out with your roommates. To see a breakdown of all charges click “payments” in your portal.
How do I report a repair?
To submit a maintenance request go to your online portal, click requests on the left hand side, and create request. Someone will get back to you within 24-48 hours to schedule unless it’s an emergency.
What constitutes an emergency?
A maintenance problem that causes a safety hazard for you and your roommates or if fixing can not wait until the next business day.
Will Polar notify me if a contractor or landlord is coming by?
Absolutely, we will never drop by unannounced.
Can I get a pet?
Getting a pet violates the terms of the lease and will subject you to fines.
When I move out, how can I get my security deposit back?
Your security deposit will be returned within 30 days of your move out. Any damages will be assessed and filed in a report which will be returned to you with your check. Be sure to confirm forwarding addresses upon move out.
Help, we have ants! What should we do?
It is the tenant's responsibility to take action if there are pests. We recommend removing any food left out and purchasing ant or mice traps to begin then contacting the exterminator if the problem persists. We use Advanced Termite and Pest Control at 856-810-0500.
When we leave for winter break, can we turn the heat off?
No! You can lower it but the heat should never be turned off.
